Reveal The Brain

By: Prof. Xiaoping Li

“In fact, it (the human brain) is the known universe. Everything we know – from subatomic particles to distant galaxies – everything we feel – from love of our children to fear of enemy nations – is experienced and modeled in our brains. Without the brain, nothing – not quarks, not black holes, nor love, nor hatred – would exist for us.” — The Three-Pound Universe, Judith Hooper and Dick Teresi

Brain Monitoring The basis for human brain activity monitoring:
The neuronal activities of the brain generate an electric field and a magnetic field of the brain. A current source Q in a neuron causes a current I flowing within the brain, producing an electric potential difference V on the scalp S, which can be measured and shown by electroencephalography (EEG), and a magnetic field B around the brain, which can be measured and shown by magnetoencephalography (MEG)
